Ah! I missed yesterday…

Two movies yesterday. ‘Hello’, a recent Malayalam release and Initial D, a movie based on the anime series by the same name.

The movie, Hello, was a recent release here in Kerala. The actor was none other than the super star Mohanlal. Since the movie was more in the genre of comedy, my friends and I had to sit 7 rows from the huge screen. my neck’s still sore. But that’s nothing compared to the fun I had! Was a very good timepass. Back home I was already watching Initial D the movie, which I’d say has nothing in common to the anime series, which is seriously more addictive and fun to watch. It was midnight by then and I was fast asleep. Cya arnd ;)

Daily dose of thought!

Half way through this week and I’m already thinking about how to skip the upcoming one. As soon as my Machine Drawing exam was over yesterday, I had to live through the dreaded news of having to face my lab exams on the upcoming Tuesday. God knows what’s gonna happen then. I haven’t received my attested lab record from the concerned teacher and I have to prepare myself to work my way through experiments that I have done only once in the past couple of months. OMG! Well, let that take its route and I’ll take mine. And, so there I was playing Fifa 07 on the computer. Sriram chettan and his friend, Anand chettan came over to my place to finalize his order for a Dell Laptop at a price below US $1500. Kept discussing about the various specs and also, I got a very realistic rally game from him. Awesome! :) As soon as they left (by 1330hrs, I guess), Praveen, my buddy from Loyola, came in to grab a few movies. We were soon seen playing Fifa and by 1600hrs, he left for his home. I quickly changed my clothes for I had to reach Shibu’s place to play Cricket. Arun, Rahul and a lot of others were there. On the way back, I stopped at Zam Zam for a special Shavarma. Yummy! :D Reached home, I took a bath and was back on my computer to watch a movie. Stranger than Fiction was the one that took its place on the menu.

Strange……but true is what I can describe this movie in a single phrase. The story is so different from that of the other movies that I will give it five out of five stars. The characters are so interesting and the storyline has being plotted with much thought for an impact in the viewer. Being no exception, I too got my daily dose of thought!!! Cya arnd ;)

P.S: Sorry, I was not able to blog yesterday! Got a bit busy with sleep! :D

Haven’t we met before…….

Monday. Its very rare that I like Mondays since its the beginning of a busy working week. Mondays, always put an end to a nice and cozy weekend. A weekend that was full of happiness when you are free from the burden of the fast life. But, today was a holiday for me. Got up late and so did miss breakfast. :) Lunch was just an hour away and so was in front of the TV. After lunch, I was back on my computer playing Fifa 07. Soon, I was in front of my Machine Drawing text book trying to familiarize with the sketches so that tomorrow’s Univ Question Paper wouldn’t be a shock. :D Yet again, this effort had a short life. By 1630 hrs, Xyris and I were off on our bikes to Hari’s place. Had to pick up his hard disk since it had a lot of new movies that Asif had downloaded. I had the chance to experience Holophonic Sound. Its incorporating realistic surround sound to stereo headphones. Its awesome. Soon after which, I got a chance to ride Sanjay’s modified CBZ. Its actually, my first hand at a modified bike and I liked it very much. The sound from its freeflow exhaust is good enough to replace its horn. Had to ride back home on my very silent Unicorn in the heavy rain. Well, it was time for a movie and so was I in front of the computer watching Deja Vu.

Monday. Its very rare that I like Mondays since……………………..hehe! :D

The movie is a recent flick by Denzel Washington as an ATF officer trying to prevent a bomb blast on a ferry boat. Even though this seems to be very normal, the actual twist is when this whole incident is to be solved by going back in time. The cinematography is very good and the story does not seem to drag at any point. So, please do not pass up an opportunity to watch this movie. Well, its Machine Drawing for some more time before I sleep. Cya arnd ;)

A Full Sunday…

Arabhikadha. One among the latest releases in Malayalam. Cast includes Sreenivasan( in a role of a die hard Communist) and Jagathy Sreekumar( a monopolist). Its a must watch flick, if you can understand Malayalam. The screenplay and direction are awesome. The story does not deviate from its main path at any point. The movie is filled with the right dose of Comedy, Drama, and Love. The combination seems to work out well. Two and a half hours were made use properly. Came back home. Had breakfast and there I was in front of the computer finishing the last episodes of the anime Series INITIAL D. My God, its a treat for those who love racing! A total addiction! :D

By around 1400 hours, after lunch, I was off to the SAP ground for football! Had a very competitive game. Drew 4-4. By 1745hrs, I was back on my bike rushing to my old school, Loyola, to attend the 32nd Annual General Body Meeting of Loyola Old Boys’ Association. My batchmates were there to give me company and it was very nostalgic. :’) The next two hours were full of speeches and acknowledging recent achievers in different fields. Soon, it was dinner time and then back on my bike for a nightride back home. Hari and I decided to drop Asif, our batchmate and Ashik, Asif’s bro, at their place. The ride is what keeps Hari and me thrilled. The long winding stretch is considered to be the best place to test your handling skills on your bike. Especially high speed leans. After dropping them, Hari and I were all out on our bikes, back to the end of the good road. The bike revs up to nearly 8500 rpm( 9000rpm is RED LINE. Over rev!) before we shift gears. What amazes me is the sound that the bike produces when. Towards those high numbers, there will a distinct tingling sound from the engine as it churns out 13.3 bhp. My God thats music! I did go all out, but when it comes to leans, Hari is way above my league. I get a bit nervous leaning at such high speeds and so I slow down. But to tell you the truth, its some Xperience! I have to salute Honda for gifting us such a well balanced, not at all fuzzy bike! :D Luv my bike! Well, that was a full Sunday. Cya arnd ;)

Hydraulic Machines. Phew! Yet another exam. Will I or will I not? The answer I’d hate to know. Anyways, I was back home adjusting myself into the old chair in front of the computer. Soon I started watching Shooter(2007), a new movie that I had downloaded. Thanks to aXXo, for the awesome DVDRips. Well, the next two hours were action packed; a thrilling experience that I usually get when I see movies based on the defence forces. This movie is about a very skilled sniper from the U.S. Army getting framed in a plot against killing the President. Mark Wahlberg, the hero, has all what I’d love to see in a very disciplined killing machine. The accuracy of each step that he takes in proving his innocence is as sharp as his headshots. :) Wheeeee! SLICK! and blood everywhere!

The movie, as a whole, has been made with very keen interest in leaving the viewer with the question of ‘What’s next?’. Wonder when I could get my hands on one of those wicked looking rifles. Well, that’s a long time from now, if it has to happen. Don’t want to keep you guys waiting that long. Don’t miss this movie. Cya arnd! ;)
